My 9 month old son & I have been watching you on "4Squares" and it wasn't until this past weekend when I read an article about you in a magazine that I found out you had your own CDs. I think you have a beautiful voice and it came through on "4Squares". I'm glad I stumbled across the article and am pleased that my son and I can now enjoy your music and voice outside of the tv program :)

We have just downloaded "Hear the Bells" (a fresh, new sound from Kellylee just in time for Christmas), and "Read the Stars", (a song written in tribute to military families). Both are available from this website. These tunes are fantastic folks. Kellylee plans to send a portion of the proceeds from sales of "Read the Stars" to the Military Family Fund. So, come on, let's support this extremely talented Canadian artist and our troops at the same time by supporting her new work. Believe us, you won't be disappointed with these heartfelt compositions from Kellylee.

Hi Kelley, I saw you perform at the Vancouver Jazz Festival this past summer, and I was telling you about the many jazz festivals we have in California. I really enjoyed your concert and believe you would be well recieved in California. Omega Events sponsors many festivals in California, The one I enjoy the most is the Russian River Jazz Festival in the beautiful wine country of northern Cal. I have contacted Omega Events talent director and told them about you and how you blew me away with your vocals and writing talents. I gave them your website address. Their website is www.omegaevents.com. I would love to see you at one of their events. I am really enjoying the CD. Hope to see you in California. Cheryl Orr

Hi Kellylee. I was telling my family and friends just last month that I went to highschool with a girl in my mentor class who was the most amazing singer with a voice that gave me goosebumps, made me wanna cry and smile at the same time. This girl was so smart and talented (valedictorian), with so many different opportunities, I wasn't sure if she'd pursued her music further or taken another direction. Then I opened a copy of a magaine last weekend, and there you were! And now my wish to have the chance to listen to your gift again has been granted. Thank you!

By Artistically yours, 8/17/2008 3:10:23 PM
I had the opportunity to discover your music on the Belle et Bum show, and in that instant felt the awakening..I just wanted to thank you for that moment of pure grace and beauty, and all I can do from here is to spread the word to anyone in need of experiencing it too. Keep up the good work! Hugs from Montreal.

By Derek Madge, 7/14/2008 7:51:30 AM
I enjoyed your Waterloo Jazz Festival appearance yesterday and wanted to commend you both on your professional performance and your friendliness! I hesitate to mention this because I imagine every artist prefers t be known for her/his own style and voice but I hope you'll take it as a compliment when I say I often heard shadows of Nina Simone in your songs.

By Kathy, 7/13/2008 8:12:06 AM
You have made a new fan Ms. Evans! I saw you at the Hillebrand jazz and blues festival and you blew me away. What a wonderful voice you have!

By Jim Roy, 9/28/2007 1:52:29 PM
Jim's Personal Rave About Kellylee I don't do much in written raves about any act these days, but Kellylee is one I consider the most exciting Ottawa area act I've been lucky enough to be there in the past to help do my small part to let other people know what an Ottawa treasure we have to be thankful for. Kellylee Evans is such a well deserved winner of the Female Vocalist of the Year at the Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards this year in competition with veteran performers Carol Welsman, Amy Sky, Molly Johnson and Liberty Silver. In other career highlights, she opened for Tony Bennett and Maceo Parker last year and had a second place win of the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Vocals Competition in 2004. How many Canadian artists can make that kind of claim and still remain down to earth? When we're lucky enough to have Kellylee playing in the area these days between motherhood and all her other demands, she's a definite don't miss act. I've known Kellylee since 2002 and she then was as still is quite obviously someone I know who defines both class and quality in what she does. Kellylee connects easily with her audience and anyone she comes into contact with in such a way they can't help themselves in getting involved in her performances and becoming a fan and avid supporter. And, no, I'm not her agent. ;-) I'm just someone who recognized early what special talent was there from the first time I happened to catch her performances at the Shanghai restaurant some five or so years ago and became an instant fan. This was for me one of those defining experiences we get to enjoy once in a lifetime. And, I thank Kellylee for all the enjoyment she's given both me and the rest of her ever increasing list of fans in Ottawa and elsewhere wherever she plays who join me in fanship. Bravo, Kellylee. Keep doin' what you're doin' it's workin'.
